Where Leylines is headed.
What the plugin does in the beta today, what is being built, and what we are still only exploring, across the plugin and its Cloud add-on. The throughline stays the same: async collaboration that respects the tools and workflow you already have.
The plugin that drops on your master bus. It is in beta, and everything under In the beta is something you can use today.
Getting matched with another musician to write a song together, for when you do not have friends who produce. An idea we are turning over, and it needs the friends list, which is in progress, to exist first.
Exporting a finished track as a lossless file.
Formats we do not build today, Pro Tools among them.
A summary of who contributed what to each song.
We are working on a few things we cannot show yet. Have a wish for Leylines? Drop it in the community forum and it might turn up on this board.
A list of the people you have worked with, so you can reconnect without swapping a fresh code every time. It is in progress.
Leylines MIDI, an instrument build for MIDI parts to sit beside the effect build for audio.
Builds are unsigned today, so your system warns that Leylines comes from an unidentified developer. Signing them is in progress.
Leylines captures your master bus as the track plays, then syncs it to your collaborators in the background. What you play is what gets captured.
Everyone stays in their own DAW with their own plugins. There is no shared project file.
Host a session and share the code, or send an invite link. Your collaborator joins from wherever they are.
Connect straight across your own network, or through a relay when the network in between blocks a direct link.
Collaborator parts are cached on your disk. Reopen the project and their lanes come back and play with nobody connected. Getting back into the session is a separate step: enter the code again.
See which parts of the song each collaborator has synced.
Join after the work has started and the parts already synced come across too.
Send MIDI parts, files and chat alongside the audio.
VST3, CLAP and standalone builds for Windows and Linux, in beta.
Mac builds are in the beta. They are unsigned, so macOS warns that Leylines is from an unidentified developer until signing lands.
